That advice remains true until an official unveiling at E3, but the excitement levels are certainly permitted to raise at this point. IGN have leaked a promotional image that they received in the build up to E3. As well as all but confirming the game, it even gives us a release window of “early 2016.”
The most exciting aspect of this news is not the fact that there is another Souls game on the horizon so soon after Bloodborne but that Miyazaki himself is said to be directing. While the Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne are heralded as masterpieces, Dark Souls II is generally considered the weakest entry and it is usually attributed to Miyazaki’s supportive role rather than the leadership role he had in the other games.
